Barry and Kathy have been married for 34 years.  Barry is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Efford Amacker Sr.  He was born in Mobile, Alabama but moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and attended Moss Point High School. 

Kathy is the daughter of “Chopper” and Lois Stevenson of Hurley, Mississippi.  She is a graduate of East Central High School and continued her education at the University of South Alabama and is currently a middle school teacher.

Barry and Kathy were members of the Gospel Four with her parents.  They performed in churches and concerts throughout the Southeastern United States.  They continue to be involved in their church, working with the choir and special music.  In addition, they teach a seminar for parents entitled, “Parenting without Fear.”

They have two married children, Brad and Alisa.  Barry and Kathy are pleased that they will soon be proud grandparents
